Sophie Hills is the Monitor’s faith and religion writer, focusing on the intersection of religion and politics, culture, and ideas. She’s based in Washington, D.C.
She holds a B.A. from Principia College, where she double majored in political science and music studies. Before joining the Monitor staff, Sophie was a Monitor intern and a reporting fellow for the Provincetown Independent on Cape Cod in Massachusetts.
Sophie is a 2025 Paul Miller Washington Reporting fellow.
